International Association for Educational and Vocational Guidance (IAEVG)

Zarabina has been a member of the International Association for Educational and Vocational Guidance (IAEVG) since June 2011.

This association is active in more than 50 countries worldwide and has 15,000 members – individuals, but also advisory offices and institutions - which have committed themselves to educational and vocational guidance.

The IAEVG is a non-governmental organization (NGO), recognised by UNESCO and the International Labour Organization (ILO) among others, and is a partner organization of the European Lifelong Guidance Policy Network (ELGPN).

The stated mission of the IAEVG is to advocate that “all people who need and want educational and vocational guidance and counselling can receive it from a competent and recognized professional.”
It does so by elaborating quality standards and ethical guidelines for practical guidance and counselling work, through research and publications as well as through conferences and networking at the international level.

Zarabina supports the goals of the IAEVG and respects the quality standards and guidelines of this international organization. The moto of Zarabina, “Fair chances in employment and education,” is based on the conviction that every person deserves high quality vocational and further educational guidance and counselling. This conviction is also reflected in the declaration on the 50th anniversary of the IAEVG (celebrated on 17 September 2001 in Paris): “Each person – regardless of gender, education, race, religion, age or occupational status – should have free and easy access to educational and vocational guidance so that their individual capabilities  and skills can be identified and developed to enable them to undertake adequate education, vocational training and employment, to adapt to changing individual and social life situations and to participate fully in the social and economic life of their community”.
